lower the mezzanine height so the underside of the mezzanine aligns with the ceiling height of the bump out area on the right side adjust the staircase to be steeper and more compact so the landing does not extend as far into the room keep the overall room layout and structure the same but reduce the mezzanine clearance and shorten the stair run to make the design feel more integrated and space efficient
