this is the interior of a catacomb under a church all walls and arch surfaces are a heavy rough render that is failing in places to expose areas of rough stone work there is a slight variety of render and stone colored within the space which tell of the various repairs and styles used over the ancient history of the location between the large square pillars which hold up the arches hang aged old course canvas drapes that are heavily stained worn and torn which shows that they are very old the walls and floor are stained with dark mould and the floor is damp and wet grey stone lighting is dark and moody
