add lighting under the island top at the overhang at the stools do not add lighting at the hood backsplash where the countertop overhang is shown turn on lights for the sconces on each side of the hood and at the island pendants the look should be soft ambient lighting but during the day avoid harsh shadows but include light coming through the windows
