prairie style exterior shot the main concept of the design is the intersection of representative and educational functions the flower bed is organically composed in terms of both height and spatial articulation it respects the planted pair of cercidiphyllum japonicum as the dominant feature of the space complementing it a secondary height accent is proposed in the form of grasses panicum virgatum rotstrahlbusch and schizachyrium scoparium standing ovation from these central vertical elements which reach a height of 100 cm the space is dynamically structured to gradually decrease the plant height down to 10 cm at the edges of the designed area the concept incorporates a color palette dominated by white blue and pink these colors are distributed to appear in the flower bed during spring summer and autumn seasons for added interest the design also considers the color aspect of foliage particularly the striking red shades in autumn the resulting flower bed should feature blooming segments from march to november showcasing a largely unconventional plant selection suited to the campus of the faculty of horticulture in lednice the plants are arranged in smaller repeated groupings within a broader composition to enhance the educational purpose another effect of this diversity is the ground covering character of the future vegetation which is expected to reach full functionality within a two year horizon architecture
