add fluted wainscotting yo the lower 3 feet of the walls with thick chairrail at the top edge all painted white ok the upper walls paint them a light mossy green and frame out panels with molding then fill the inside of those panels with a faint foggy forest mural in tones similar to the wall paint the ceiling and crown molding white and add a few extra recessed lights to the ceiling leave the fireplace doors and windows where they are make the fireplace mantle a bit larger keeping it painted white but add a slate tile hearth
